Is it the law to get dental? Am I supposed to do that? What will having dental insurance actually cover? Is it worth it?
It is NOT the law to get dental. It is optional and you won’t have to pay a penalty if you choose not to get it. Whether or not getting dental is worth the money it costs you depends on your situation. If you are someone who never goes to the dentist then you might choose not to get it. If you go to the dentist often or have children you might want to consider getting dental insurance. What dental insurance covers depends on the plan that you choose. Dental insurance can cover cleanings, x-rays, filings, oral surgery, crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.
