What is Obamacare?

The aim of Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, is to provide individuals and families with health insurance who otherwise would have none. It does this by offering tax credits to reduce premium costs, cost-sharing subsidies, and expanding Medicaid eligibility for a greater number of people. Among other things, Obamacare also seeks to provide new rights and benefits for people with healthcare and to improve Medicare.
